Living in Sheldon is a lifestyle choice for its quiet bushland lifestyle, yet it’s only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the busy commercial hubs of both Capalaba and Victoria Point.


It is mainly semi-rural with plenty of bush clad areas that are protected as they are in the catchment area for the Leslie Harrison Dam.

Sheldon has substantial bush clad conservation areas such as – Emu Street Bushland Reserve, Buhot Park Reserve, and Summit Street Reserve.

The Eastern Escarpment Conservation Area, between Sheldon and Mount Cotton, has mountain bike trails for the more adventurous with many different access points and online maps with more information

The Sheldon College is renowned in not only the area but according to their website throughout Australia.

Schools: Sheldon College, on Taylor Road, is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational school. The nearest state schools are at Capalaba.

Commuting: Sheldon’s nearest train stations are at Cleveland and Birkdale. Transdev Queensland operates regular bus services.
